The Death of Big Environment: Assessing Loss and Gain

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

For all who have challenged the notion that man is single-handedly destroying the planet with everything from America’s industrial system to your shiny SUV– all the way down to your uncle’s favorite cow “Gertrude” on the farm, take a moment to lower your shields as the opposition is about to be sent on the run. As reported by Jon Lott on FOXNews.com, validated e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England show an extended conspiracy by scientists to hide facts that would challenge man-made global warming and to purposely skew data presented to the public. These e-mails implicate scientists working closely with the IPCC (the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change—established by the United Nations), which puts the whole mess right in the area of Al Gore-Country.

Will there be a liberal spin placed on the fact that the public has been lied to about one of the biggest issues of our time – human participation in the fate of the planet? As reported by Jon Lott, the answer appears to be that it is already happening as one alleged conspirator, Professor Phil Jones, attempted to explain one of his e-mail communications that included the use of the word “trick” in a sentence, which he says was really meant to mean “solve a problem.” If that makes you laugh, then you’re normal because it is a terrible attempt to hide his culpability, especially when he uses the word “trick” in this sentence: “…trick of adding in the real temps to each series…to hide the decline [in temperature].” Even though I am a former criminal investigator, you don’t have to be one to see that these communications are about deceiving the public to promote a false agenda.

In fact, the evidence of the man-made global warming hoax found in these communications is less of a shocking occurrence than it was an inevitable outcome. A growing number of people, both laymen and those in the fields of science, have been joining the ranks of the man-made global warming skeptics. Why? Because the premise by which the man-made global warming scenario has been laid out from the very beginning has always stunk of manipulation and coercion. When Al Gore came out with his movie An Inconvenient Truth, his official website asked people to sign a pledge to see the film. Think about it – that’s weird. We pledge allegiance to the flag, we pledge to donate to charities, we pledge to be faithful to our partners in marriage, but pledging to watch a movie on man-made global warming? It smacks of coercion. Even those who made the pledge of man-made global warming allegiance should have been struck back to their senses that the fix was in when Al Gore himself, after incessant speeches on the need for the public to curb energy use, was found by the records of the Nashville Electric Service in 2007 to be using more than 20 times the national average of Kilowatt hours for his personal home. Wow, when the pushers themselves don’t believe in their product, it is a red flag you can’t overlook.

For those who were still not swayed that something was really wrong with the global warming climate pitch, let’s take our observations to court. Justice Burton of the High Court of London ruled that Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth had nine significant errors and should be seen as a political movie as opposed to a scientific movie. This is what we call a trend of deception. The next thing that placed me (and many others) on alert was the complete intolerance for questions and debate on the validity of the subject. Following Al Gore’s statement of the existence of scientific consensus supporting man-made global warming and his declaration of the “end of the debate,” those who questioned the new Gore Law were treated as heretics. I knew as I spoke directly on my radio show, the Conscience of Kansas, that many of my guests had braved ridicule within their professions to question the idea that we were destroying the planet. Some of these individuals included: physicist Fred Singer; researchers Christopher Horner, Lawrence Solomon, and E. Calvin Beisner; documentarian Phelim McAleer; and many others. These people had the fortitude to challenge the faulty science and the lack of tolerance for debate. Although I know that the machine of ‘Big Environment’ is not yet defeated and that those invested in “going-green” – be it for wholesome or corrupt reasons – will not easily give up their plans for our future; I think the skeptics deserve to at least take a momentary bow.

What has been gained by the Climate Research Unit e-mail(s) discovery is another valuable exhibit in the growing undeniable evidence that the promotion of man-made global warming is nothing more than an expensive ruse. What has been lost is that over the course of exposing this scam, true environmentalism may be tainted. The opportunity to deal with environmentalist issues with pro-growth, pro-capitalistic measures that will ensure America’s economic future as well as our responsibility to be good stewards of the planet may very well be more limited in the near future. These limitations may come about as the product of public sentiment after everyone has full knowledge of the potential green crimes committed by those who would try to force the world to follow a political agenda under the guise of saving the planet.

Your carbons and your life: A look at the death dealers for a better tomorrow

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Your money or your life! These are the words most people have seen on television, and a precious few in real life, where the villain gives the frightened passer-by the option of handing over their hard earned money or forfeiting their precious life. Ah, for the good old days. For a bad case scenario, the classic robber/victim interaction was a pretty good deal. Think about it, the thug/villain/bad guy (whatever title or representation identified this dastardly person), was usually apparent by the robber’s covered face, grizzled appearance, or whatever makes a bad guy look most noticeably bad. The options (your money or your life), while not fair, were straight forward; and for a bad situation, “living” was clearly the best decision of the choices available. However, when it comes to the man-made global warming crowd, currently in power in the United States, the old ‘your money or your life’ routine now has a radically new spin. In fact, it’s truly a theft you’re not meant to walk away from.

The man-made global warming policies of the Barack Obama administration, such as Cap and Trade, are starting to receive sharper scrutiny as more focus is being placed on the tremendous cost of implementing Obama’s quest for a carbon reduced, “better tomorrow.” The fact that the U.S. will spend trillions of dollars, cripple our economic standing in the world, and reduce many important personal freedoms of citizens here in the U.S., chasing a Gorian Hoax, is starting to get traction with the American people, much to the chagrin of the Obama Administration. This is a positive thing; however, most people that combat the cabal of climate cuckoos focus their attention on the ‘theft’ argument behind man-made global warming. That is, the criminal way our taxes will be raised (and our pockets emptied), or the robber’s demand that we turn over our personal choice on what to buy and how to travel (you know, those personal freedoms). This challenge to the American people alone is worth fighting for, as this is the fleecing of the country by the miscreant in the back ally, “packing heat” and demanding, “your money or your life,” and it isn’t even their complete man-made global warming “rescue” package. To incorporate the complete “green” package of the Obama administration, we have to modify the classic robber’s option of ‘your money or your life’ with the certainty of Obama’s new criminal request of ‘your carbons and your life.’ Yes, we have to add the seldom analyzed element of certain death that is a fundamental component of the “green initiative” policies of the man-made global warming crowd.

While most people are focusing on the economic detriments of Obama’s green initiatives, the broadest encompassing life issue of our time stands before us. If the anti-capitalistic, anti-industrial measures of Cap and Trade come to fruition, it will dramatically increase death rates in developing countries that are attempting through industry to pull themselves out of third world status – with its war, poverty, and disease. Yes, for these countries, green initiatives should come packaged with a depiction of the ‘skull and crossbones.’ There is little spin that can be thrown at the fact that poverty and death walk hand in hand. If you believe in the goodness of life and its right to flourish, then you must observe the overt stance of the Obama administration, that ‘too much of a good thing’ is ultimately bad.

To understand how death plays an intricate part of the Obama agenda, you have to step into the complex, socialistic, web of the administration. Within this flowing web, we see the devaluing of the individual and the blending of people and environment as one. With this psychology in place, the Obama administration can now find common applicability to monitor and control the environment and the individual as the same issue. Simply put, bellies, babies, and your breath (C02) become the privy of the government, as do cars, construction, and carbon credits. These all become one and the same, and, unfortunately, all in need of radical reduction. John Griffin’s observation in the American Thinker that within Obama’s healthcare plan is Section 1233 of HR 3200, which mandates “Advance Care Planning Consultation” for the elderly, depicts in an eerie Soylent Green-like fashion (a movie from 1973), the Obama Administration’s quick step to walk the elderly to their own funerals, which should be chilling to both young and old. However, this is just the back-end assault by the Obama “death dealers,” as HR 3200 would also be the largest abortion expansion since Roe v. Wade and would make abortion on demand a ‘federal essential benefit.’

Now that you understand the Obama game plan, meet reflecting images of Barack Obama and the death dealers for a better tomorrow. Obama’s top science advisor, John Holdren, advocated in his 1977 book, Ecoscience, mandatory abortions, mass sterilizations by way of the food and water supply, and forced implants to prevent pregnancies. While Health Czar Nancy-Ann Deparle can be viewed as a pro-abortionist, she pales in comparison to the ‘abortion queen’ of Kansas, Kathleen Sebelius, Obama’s Health and Human Services Secretary – with her nefarious ties to the recently departed Dr. George Tiller. Deputy Health Care Director (and pro-abortionist), Jeanne Lambow, can also be placed on the list of “death first” dealers. Each of Obama’s many arms (e.g., Czars and Agency heads) work without any morality limitations to the common collective goal. Obama’s EPA director, Lisa Jackson, recently admitted the agency had not even read the Waxman-Markey carbon tax bill before issuing a positive report on its economic impacts. The most overtly vile Obama minion to date is that of the global governance guru from ‘Socialist International,’ now global warming Czar, Carol Browner. For Obama, the death dealer positions never end. Even as you read this sentence a new Czar or Agency head is being conjured up from the bubbling socialist pot.

The point here is not that the Barack Obama Administration won’t wreck the economy or bring about a socialist America (under the guise of creating a “better, greener tomorrow”); what is of importance is that while we oppose these ‘warm’ mongers, we must remember that the young, the old, the poor, the living at all stages have a lot more to lose than their hard earned cash.

Why You Should Love Your Carbon Footprint

Friday, July 24th, 2009

America, with all its imperfections, is still truly the land of opportunity. This has been the unique component that has brought people from around the world, in every way imaginable, and even some ways not. This opportunity to succeed and, yes, to also fail, is a product brought about by individual freedom that has been unique to America since our founding fathers placed their lives on the line to create a better future for themselves and their families. If we are to hold worthy the struggle of those who fought to give us a free nation, should we not also observe those who wish to take away both our freedom and the opportunity that living in a free country brings?

The Obama administration is truly a ravenous hydra, in which there are many deadly heads, that must be addressed one set of fangs at a time. This time, the head most near in striking distance is that of the Cap and Trade bill, H.R. 2454, which has passed the House of Representatives and currently is being deliberated on by the Senate.

The case against Cap and Trade is all but overwhelming. The bill runs on the faulty, if not dubious, premise that by the government making it so expensive for the U.S. manufacturing and industrial complex to emit CO2, businesses will turn to “green” alternatives on their own accord. This is to happen while, at the same time, the government selectively sells CO2 permits to industries of its choosing. Beyond creating what Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma described as the largest tax increase in American history, this will inevitably force viable industry outside the U.S. during a recession period – when economic growth is an absolute must for the country’s future survival. Also, as painfully obvious, those industries that are privileged enough by whatever system of measure the Obama administration sets forth to be able to buy their emission permits, will then, by the nature of simple economics, charge higher prices to the average American for electricity and other products to recoup their costs. Yes, you and I, the American people, will pay the bill for Cap and Trade.

If that last statement hurts, this next statement will be excruciating. The Cap and Trade program will have no measurable effect on carbon emission reduction. That’s none, zero, zilch, nada. Other than creating extreme debt, reducing economic growth and American freedom, Cap and Trade is the equivalent of a dead turtle in what has been promoted as a jackrabbit race. My conversation with Dr. Calvin Beisner, national spokesman for the Cornwall Alliance on my radio program, Conscience of Kansas, only strengthens previous statements made this month by the Environmental Protection Agency that U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will have no impact on the climate. In effect, our government will spend trillions of American dollars for absolutely nothing.

If there is no upside (and there isn’t) to the Cap and Trade bill, then why are liberals throughout the Obama administration trying to push the bill through without proper inspection? Why does the Obama administration give this issue the full court press to include wheeling out Al Gore (who becomes more Bela Lugosi-esque by the second) to sound the “Earth alarm” by way of nothing short of eerie organ music.

The truth is that Cap and Trade is but a symptom of the liberal environmental psychosis, of which capitalism and the free market (and the prosperity both bring), are seen as dangerous and destructive. It is through this derangement that CO2, a naturally occurring substance – crucial for life on this planet, can be seen as a poison and we are all told to hate our “carbon footprint.”

It is interesting to note that while science daily disproves the correlation between the growth of carbon emissions and increases in planet temperature, few people speak out about the undeniable correlation between the growth of our “carbon footprint” and the growth of our freedom, stability, and economic prosperity. You see, there are blessings to be found in those big honking carbon footprints. India and China see this clearly, and they have chosen prosperity over carbon credit tomfoolery. Even the little developing nations of the world, with their war, death, and famine, would like to have a shot at a little more carbon footprint growth. That is, they would like to reap the rewards, not the Hollywood hyped detriments of the industrial world. With the Obama and Gore liberals of today, it is the capitalistic smell of the carbon footprint that offends them most; and in defense of such wondrous things, I say, embrace your carbon footprint, cherish it while you have it, and remember what it has given you. In reality, it is not a burning planet but prosperity, stability, and economic growth. Not a bad smell indeed.
