If you missed the Tax Day Tea Parties all over the nation, you must have been hiding in the closet. The American people took to the streets to talk about the direction the nation is heading as being all wrong. Few in the media, on the blogs, or in op/ed pieces really “got it” for one simple reason- they didn’t attend.

I listened with almost comical angst as Janeine Garafalo made her incendiary remarks on Olberman’s mostly unwatched show earlier in the week. Her inaccurate description of the Tea Party events was so far in left field, I have determined she was either out of the country, locked up in jail, or watched CNN’s coverage of the event. What is painfully obvious is that the Left wing simply doesn’t understand why Americans became energized, why we protested, or how such an effort from grassroots Americans could ever succeed.

Let’s first look at the resounding theme throughout every single Tea Party held this week: Americans are tired of the massive government spending and are not ready to assume the liability. Additionally, we are not stupid enough to think that there isn’t going to be massive tax increases to follow that will be needed to fund these grand schemes of folly that will lead this nation down that primrose path of Socialism. What makes me wonder even more, is the thinking behind those who are all enthralled by the prospects of National health care, reduction of “greenhouse” gases with cap and trade schemes, reducing our dependence on “foreign oil” with “green initiatives” that don’t exist, and thinking that the Federal government is the panacea to all of these issues. Even more astounding is that there seems to be assumptions that it all will happen without a direct cost to the American citizen through budgetary manipulation.

I also heard the greatest summation of what the Tea Parties represented on Bill O’Reily’s show by none other than Dennis Miller. To paraphrase his comment (and I may actually have the entire thing quoted):

I have no problem helping the helpless, but I am getting sick and tired of helping the CLUELESS!

That statement in and of itself is one of the most profound and complete commentary of the policies of the Left that the Tea Parties are fighting to allow to happen in this nation. What is even more painfully obvious is that the Socialists/Liberals are leading people to believe that all of their ideas can happen without cost or effect on this nation. Sadly, there are those CLUELESS ONES who have swallowed that hook, line, and sinker. Even more disturbing, they vote.

Add to it, they have an ideology that is rooted, not in the American way of solving problems, but in the very Socialist programs and ideas of Marx, Lenin, and Engels. Somehow, the belief that “all men are created equal” has come to mean that all men should be equal in income, benefits, and stature in the world. History has not bode well on those ideas as not one single attempt at Socialism has, in it’s application, ever worked! Yet, those ideas are being used and shoved down our throats and we are expected to accept it as “good government”. What is even more disturbing, is that few, if any, of the supporters of these ideas have even a clue as to the foundations or reasoning behind these men and their belief in a Utopian society.

There can be no doubt in any persons mind who has even a modicum of common sense, that the Liberals/Socialists are in a complete meltdown that “we the people” are not supporting their agenda. We hear the terms “rednecks”, “racists”, “no doubt it’s because we have a black man as President” being their only defensive posture and being portrayed as “truth” behind the Tea Party movement. Nothing could be farther from the truth and needs to be the motivating force to keep this movement going and GROWING in numbers!

I can remember hearing that Conservatism was dead in America after the 2008 election. I am finding that EXACTLY the opposite is happening. Americans are finally coming to the realization that Socialism/Liberalism is alive and well in America, and that we as a body of people who elect our Representatives, are NOT going to continue to allow Washington to force this nation down this guilded path without a fight and without our voices being heard. Furthermore, we are not going to take being catagorized as “racist, rednecks” who haven’t a clue what the agenda of the left would mean in terms of “prosperity” for this nation. Our voices, collectively, are sending a message that we don’t care for Socialist prosperity where everyone is equally poor, but want a nation in which equal opportunity means everyone has the same chance, not the same results.

Washington politicos that fail to heed the warnings are going to find themselves without a job in the very near future. Many are in the Democratic party, and a few Republicans will be gone as well. People who once believed that their only civic duty was to vote are becoming INFORMED voters, not party line voters. We, as Conservatives, Libertarians, and even those “awakened Democrats” are growing in numbers and becoming activist in nature. It frightens the Liberals/Socialists to death that “WE THE PEOPLE” are not going to be steamrollered by massive government spending, massive government intervention, and massive government expansion without a fight. A return to Constitutional government is what our mission is, and those who refuse to accept that are in for the rude awakening they so richly deserve.

Perhaps, instead of Conservatives being the ones kicked to the curb, it’s going to be the Democratic Socialist/Liberals that are going to be the party that finds itself wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. That my friends, is what scares them and their rhetoric of destruction and character assasination won’t work with the “Tea Party” movement. WE see through your efforts and guess what!…we are starting a New American Revolution and one that isn’t going to be ignored.

Then again, when you are totally CLUELESS, you get what you deserve.
