If you doubt that there is a “Constitutional Crisis” developing, you have fallen prey to the indoctrination. The United States of America is heading down the path of destruction and change, as an entire generation believes that the principles of Liberty and Freedom are an old fashioned idea.

The seventh grade still brings back fond memories. That was the year that Virginia History was taught and gratefully, I had the experience of a teacher named Battle Cole. She (that’s right, a she) was a believer in the principles that this nation was founded upon. Those principles of Free Speech, Individual Liberty, Self Respect and respect for the rights of others, and had a way of relating those principles that are under direct assault by the Liberalism/Socialism from the left today. Yes, it was Virginia History, but bear in mind that the great minds of many of the founders of this nation were from Virginia- Washington, Jefferson, Madison, and “give me liberty or give me death”, Patrick Henry.

Today, through the educational system brought about by the Liberals, we have managed to indoctrinate an entire generation of young people that feel that these ideas are out-dated, old fashioned and out of touch with today’s realism. Our students history books are rampant with ideas contrary to the beliefs that once individuals experienced true freedom and liberty that there could be no taking it away from them. But sadly, that is not the case today.

We are facing an election in which the choice on the left is the most liberal, socialist oriented, and remarkably “big government” candidate in the entire history of this nation. Did anyone fail to mention that the Constitution was designed to LIMIT government interference in our lives? I think Americans have lost sight of that simple but still appropriate reasoning if this nation is to survive as a representative republic. Electing a “President Obama” with a fully controlled Democratic Congress, there will be a profound change in the very fabric of this nations foundations of individual rights, a redistribution of the wealth toward socialism, and a dependence on government never before seen in this great nation.

There was a time in this nations history that there was a Civil War fought for the rights of the states to determine their own destiny. Yes, regulation of slavery was the fight the southern states believed they had the right to decide. It was indeed a black spot on this nations foundation and was a question even the Constitution addressed only with limited wording. Yet, the assault by those wishing to limit freedom (the South) was overcome by the beliefs that every man deserved the same rights offered by the Constitution. It was the Republican party that eliminated this scourge of slavery and championed the rights of ALL men. Ultimately, it became a struggle for the very freedoms that are being destroyed today, only it has been allowed to happen through our educational system and the teaching of our youth that freedom and liberty are not really good things for this nation.

Rich people are targets, Republicans are targets, and people with beliefs in the rights guaranteed by our Constitution are targets. The attacks have become vicious and even physical. Sadly, they are going to become more prevalent as this nation becomes more polarized left and right. No longer is the exchange of ideas and disagreements possible without a direct confrontation of words and actions. It is no longer a battle of ideas, but is becoming a battle of wills.

Socialism, by design, requires a backlash from the opposite pole of ideas. Look through history and you find a scapegoat for every problem that allowed Socialism to reign true. Karl Marx called it a requirement for change and that dissatisfaction with the status quo as being the fuel to stoke the fires of revolution. Those throughout history used this very idea to create societies and governments that once, we as a nation, called evil and despot. Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, the USSR, communist China, and other nations who control the minds of those they govern were once despised and feared. Feared, not because of their armies, but feared because of their ideologies that stripped the citizens of the very freedoms and liberties we as a nation took for granted and Americans shed blood on many battlefields to preserve. Yet, the left will tell you that war is only a show of American capitalism and greedy Imperialism. History does not bear that out, but Liberalism demands that the lie be told to influence the masses.

I fear that we as a nation are going to be forced to either defend the foundations of our founders or succumb to the Socialist premise. I also fear an uprising in this nation tantamount to a civil war- Right against Left and a bearing of arms to defend the raping of our Constitutional rights. Once again, we are facing radical ideas and radical change that is going to force a government upon us that we are no longer going to recognize as the United States of America, but instead have a nation in which Socialism determines our fate as individuals.

Our nation did not become the greatest nation ever conceived by man because of the government we have, but became great because of the individual aspirations and achievements of the people. Without freedom and liberty down to the level of YOU, there is no nation as we now know it. Instead, we become another “less than” nation in which government determines our fates rather than INDIVIDUALS determining their OWN fate and direction.

We are seeing a takeover of this nation by Socialists. The assaults are real and the indoctrination of our youth is obvious. The “me me” generation has the ability to think, yet they instead get on the bandwagon of “hope and change” without ever having a clue as to what they support. It is not surprising.  They haven’t been taught what the people of this nation fought for beginning in 1776. The truth is, they really can’t tell you that there was even a war fought for independence, much less the reasons why. It’s simply not in the history books anymore.

I love this nation and all it once stood for. I love the freedom I still have a belief in, and long more for, the liberties that only are available in this country. I also believe that YOU have a right to say and think as you may desire and even though I may disagree with what you think, I will defend with my life your RIGHT to do so. Liberals only seek to quiet that form of discourse and discussion of opposing ideas with the “Obama truth squads”, the liberal main stream destruction media, and the full support of the “believers” of this form of hope and change.

Sadly, I don’t find that same thought process from the Left in this nation. Instead, I see the demonization of those who dare to dare to differ because of the belief in freedom and liberty and the INDIVIDUAL right to think and say as they believe. This election is no longer about differing ideas, but is a forum on the clash on the ideals of a nation of individual freedom vs. a nation of Socialism with only those freedoms government will allow.

I only hope it is not to late to ask people to actually THINK about that. Unless they do, on November 5th, 2008, we are heading down a slippery slope we are only going to be able to recover from with an internal conflict and another stand for those principles our founders gave us to preserve. As for me, I love this country too much to let if fall to those destructive forces without taking a stand.

The question is, am I standing alone or are there others who too, think as I do?
