Pay For Performance Bill Moving to Control Wages. Your’s are Next!

A little heard of bill just left Barney Frank’s House Banking Committee, “Pay for Performance Act of 2009″, that will impose salary and wage limitations on all incomes on anyone receiving government loans, TARP money, or assistance. Additionally, Treasury Secretary Geithner would get power to determine wages for every business in the nation. How do you like that Government takeover of American freedom now?

As reported today in the Washington Examiner:

The purpose of the legislation is to “prohibit unreasonable and excessive compensation and compensation not based on performance standards,” according to the bill’s language. That includes regular pay, bonuses — everything — paid to employees of companies in whom the government has a capital stake, including those that have received funds through the Troubled Assets Relief Program, or TARP, as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The measure is not limited just to those firms that received the largest sums of money, or just to the top 25 or 50 executives of those companies. It applies to all employees of all companies involved, for as long as the government is invested. And it would not only apply going forward, but also retroactively to existing contracts and pay arrangements of institutions that have already received funds.

In addition, the bill gives Geithner the authority to decide what pay is “unreasonable” or “excessive.” And it directs the Treasury Department to come up with a method to evaluate “the performance of the individual executive or employee to whom the payment relates.”

Well folks, this is what you voted for and this is “change” you better not believe in because it is happening right in the bastion of freedom and liberty. Are we as a nation going to sit still, and allow this legislation to pass through the halls of Congress and become law with the Presidents signature? What is going to stop these power greedy Democrats from actually doing it? Sit still because the answer is easy.

NOTHING.

This “new” Administration is seeking unprecedented powers that are going to result it 100% Socialism for the United States of America. The takeover of GM, the proposals for cap and trade energy plans, the regulatory controls over banks and lenders, the continual creating of massive debt and the resulting printing of money is leading us to a cauldron of every single person dependent on government for every single thing we now enjoy freely. Then let’s add health care to the mix and guess what- we are now the United SOCIALISTS State of America with government in control of nearly every single aspect of your life.

This nation is facing a sinister and far more devious attempt to seize power from the very government we entrusted to protect our liberty and our freedom. Instead, they have reached the point where absolute control over individual lives is their goal. There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that based on legislation that has been introduced, passed, and enacted into law, that this is the goal. If this is the government you bargained for and desire, then simply click that little “X” in the upper right corner and go away. It was your type that put this nation at the brink of complete tyranny with the election of a Socialist Administration and Congress. There can be no hiding the agenda and no hiding the goals and desires of these people YOU elected. Your welcome here is hereby REVOKED and I am asking you to leave.

On April 15th, 2009 in cities all over this nation there is going to be a “Tax Day Tea Party”. I ask that you make plans to attend and to make you voice heard. For information on the location near you, visit the Tax Day Tea Party website. IF you want to organize one in your town, the infomation is there for you to do just that. Volunteers are needed for this grassroots effort and it MUST succeed and will with your support.

Perhaps this is the first step to gaining the attention of Congress. Perhaps not. My fear is that we are going to be facing the “Next American Revolution” in this nation when legislation, such as the above, is actually even considered for passage. Americans have notoriously been smart enough to make their voices known at the ballot box. I am not so sure we are going to be able to wait that long. This government, being ran by Socialists/Liberals/Democrats, is in deep trouble as more and more direct assaults on YOUR freedoms and liberties are happening everyday in the hallowed halls of the Capital. I can imagine that our Founders would be at the head of the crowd calling for the NEXT revolution. I can also imagine that Jefferson would be the very first to call for using those Second Amendment rights to eliminate the scourge of tyranny from our government. We the people, MUST make government fearful of US. Either you will sit on your hands and do nothing, or you will get involved and stop this madness. Take the first, peaceful step, and attend the Tax Day Tea Party rally near you.

While you are here, take the time to also sign the Redress of Grievances Petition. Then tell someone else why you signed it and ask them to do the same. Unless we are able to take our issues directly to the Congress, I fear they are not going listen otherwise. YOUR voice will count and more so this time than perhaps your vote on election day would count. The crossroads for this nation is right here and now. Either we are going to maintain the freedom and liberty as promised by our Constitution or we are going to allow the Socialists/Liberals to remove every single aspect of life from you as you might enjoy today.

If you don’t get involved and reclaim this nation for YOUR children and grandchildren, then what you will end up with will be a far cry from the nation we live in this very moment. At the rate this government is heading, in two weeks, it might be not be recognizable, much less the country of liberty and freedom.

GM’s CEO Resignation Has FAR Deeper Objectives: Nationalization and Control of America

Collectivism/Socialism/Communism is just around the corner. First it was the Financials. Now it’s the auto makers. The next thing to happen will most likely be energy producers. Geithner is calling for more authority to seize any company that negatively affects the economy. The warning from Jefferson is more appropriate today than ever in the history of this nation.

Do you fear your government? Yes, the government of the United States of America? You know, the one that is the champion of Freedom throughout the world? GM’s Wagoner being asked to resign by the Obama administration is but one of many to come. Take heart to something said long ago:

IF you live in this nation, you had better be VERY afraid of this government of Liberals/Socialists/Collectivists. This is not just an attempt to seize governmental power, but complete control of PRIVATE BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY. Folks, we have seen this before in the world’s history and it happened throughout the entire 1920′s , 30′s, and 40′s in Italy under Mussolini and Germany under Hitler. Each of those nations seized the banks and financials of their respective nations and then the industry for their own nefarious purposes. The same thing happened with the Bolshevik revolution in Russia, the Mao revolution in China, and in any other Communist/Socialist nation you dare to mention.

Once you have control of the money, the control of the ability to manufacture goods and have the ability to seize any company under the pretense of affecting the economy, you have a tyrannical government in control of YOUR LIFE. Laugh if you want. Scoff if you want. Use the “economic crisis” as your reasoning for this happened. Think or believe it is only “temporary” in nature. Yet, when governments seize this much power and control, it is more than reluctant to give it back. History will tell us without question it never happens that way, but instead quickly becomes the all-powerful government in control of a people without any hope of ever seeing the freedom and liberty of the past.

How is our government managing to do this? By using YOUR “outrage” at using “taxpayers money” as the justification for continuing the seizures because “these companies took government bailouts”. The perfect storm for the perfect take-over of banks, Wall Street, and whatever this Administration deems necessary to control this nation completely. The Presidents own chief of staff stated “never let a crisis go to waste” in order to move your agenda forward. There is no question what that agenda can be unless you are hiding under a rock or have bought into the media propaganda.

I can only imagine that the NEXT proposal from this Administration will be from the EPA that in an effort to REQUIRE the reduction of “carbon” from any energy source, the government will need to regulate these companies who produce “carbon” more vigorously and without regard to the fact that they are private enterprises. They are going to want the power to seize these companies ONCE THEY SHOW they are not meeting EPA guidelines for “carbon emissions”, fuel savings, or any number of “reasons” the EPA feels is justified for such action. They are already developing plans to declare “carbon dioxide” a pollutant so that the next step can be taken.

If you are an energy producer, such as oil or coal, expect to see massive taxation on your product. This is going to be in an effort to FORCE reductions of these alleged “carbon” dirty fuels usage. Once these companies continue business as usual, again, the EPA will move to curtail production with the desire to seize control to maintain production level reductions to meet their “carbon emissions” guidelines.

Then what is next? Well, think about it. They will control the banks, the money, and the entire financial sector, they control manufacturing, and they will control energy. Well, folks, they now control EVERYTHING they need to TOTALLY CONTROL YOU and your standard of living, what your lifestyle will be, and what choices you make for entertainment or avocational pursuits. Welcome to the NEW AMERIKA!

YOUR next move could be the very last one you make to assure your children and grandchildren are going to enjoy the freedom and liberty that was promised to this nation with our founding documents. Now, more than ever, this nation is on the precipace of a complete and total near dictatorial control of this nation. Unless you take a stand and stop this from happening, we are going to wake up one morning to the news announcements as I have outlined above.

You are perfectly free to sit on your hands and do nothing. Where will you turn when it becomes illegal to speak out against our government? Where will you go when the “free press” is nothing but a mouthpiece for Government Propaganda that “sells” the “sheeple” on the virtues of how great our new government is? WHO will you turn to when there is  nothing but resounding control over YOUR life, your income, your standard of living, and your children’s and grandchildren’s freedoms and liberties?

Now, more than ever you need to take action and sign the Redress of Grievances Petition. Now more than ever, you need to spread the word and TELL OTHERS TO SIGN THIS PETITION as well. The very preservation of this nation could depend on your actions TODAY. Otherwise, the end result by NOT doing so is one you may never be able to turn back the tide that is coming. I love this nation and all she stands for. I believe that man is best living in freedom and liberty to make their own choices and their own decisions for their personal life. Help me keep it that way and take that step with me. Together we have a collective voice that is far stronger than the single one in the wilderness. Become that voice of strength and not of compliance to our government and the controls they are going to impose without AMERICANS stepping forth and saying NO MORE!

Health Care: A Right or a Privilege Our Founders Understood

We obviously have two sides of this debate in which one side believes health care is a right for all Americans. The other believes it is a privilege. A brief look at history and we can clearly see the line was drawn in the sand many generations ago and decided by much wiser men with much more insight  into the future than we could ever imagine.

If you were asked the most important document in American History, what would be your answer? The Constitution or the Declaration of Independence? Perhaps to some, the Constitution is what has survived and in the minds of many is the determining factor of the founding of this nation. Yet, when we look no further than the Preamble of the Declaration, we begin to understand the thought process and the reasoning of these men who founded this nation we call the United States of America. It is from the Declaration of Independence that we became a nation and the Constitution only established the form of government that was to guide us through generations to follow.

There can be little question that I believe that perhaps the wisest of all of our founders was Thomas Jefferson. His uncanny ability to address issues of the day in a manner that is timeless in meaning and depth was unquestionable even today. It is always in our best interest to look back and glean the guidance from our founders as we look to issues of the day. When we do, we are better capable of making decisions to preserve the intent of our founding documents and to preserve this republic in it’s form as intended in 1776 and beyond. When we approach the issue of rights, one question comes to mind. Where in the Constitution does your “rights” as an American come from?

Ah, a rhetoric question you say! We often hear the phrase “my Constitutional right” as something that is cast in stone. Yet, as you read the Constitution, no where are you going to find “your rights” spelled out OTHER than to say that the government shall make no law depriving you of your “rights” in the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution. So where DO your rights, that government isn’t supposed to deprive you of, come from exactly? Let’s turn to Jefferson and see exactly the thought processes he had in his writings:

“The Declaration of Independence… [is the] declaratory charter of our rights, and of the rights of man.”

–Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Adams Wells, 1819. ME 15:200

Now, we have all we need to understand that the source of our rights is found in the Declaration of Independence of this nation. So let’s look at Jefferson’s original penned writing as to the source of the rights:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with inherent and inalienable rights; that among these, are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

–Declaration of Independence as originally written by Thomas Jefferson, 1776. ME 1:29, Papers 1:315

So that document says plainly as the nose on your face, our RIGHTS come from our CREATOR, or God if you prefer. So what does this all mean when we are discussing “health care” and the discussion of is it a “right” or a “privilege” and what the REAL discussion needs to be for the benefit of this nation? The answer isn’t complicated at all when you understand the truths of our founders that they so eloquently left in their writings.

Government cannot “grant” you any rights simply because, as Jefferson stated, they are not the SOURCE of your rights. The PRINCIPLE ROLE of our government is to be the great protector of YOUR rights. Every action that they take are supposed to have the preservation of INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS taken into account as they enact our laws. One “right” we have, is the right to life. However, we also are charged with great responsibility when we accept that as our right. It is to respect the life of all persons and to be RESPONSIBLE for taking care of our OWN life. That means doing the things necessary to live a long and fruitful life and one we can enjoy to it’s fullest. So if “taking care of ourselves” is a RESPONSIBILITY of the individual, then health care can no longer be considered a “right to life”, but something we are supposed to provide for ourselves in order to live our life to it’s fullest. Some will argue, that if your are “sick” and can no longer provide for yourself, then you are not having your “right” to life protected. However, that argument really holds no water since the RIGHT TO LIFE is an INDIVIDUAL right, and not one collectively to be borne by all persons. Again, Jefferson addressed this impeccably with this little tidbit:

“What is true of every member of the society, individually, is true of them all collectively; since the rights of the whole can be no more than the sum of the rights of the individuals.”

Basically, when we take away an individual’s RIGHT to determine his own fate, his own decisions to pursue life as he wishes, then collectively, we are no longer a free nation. When we shackle the collectivness of a “national health care” directive, we are no longer preserving the individual right to choose. Instead, we have turned over to government our RESPONSIBILITY to provide for our own individual needs and hence, our right to life becomes a decision of government and no longer a GOD GIVEN RIGHT that we individually own. Government will then decide if your selection of care or treatment is within the scope of “collective benefit” of all participants (WE the people that is). If they determine that your treatment is not cost effective or determine that your “needs” are not as great as someone else’s, then too bad. YOUR right life now belongs to government since you so freely gave it away.

Once again, Jefferson warned of the danger of allowing our individual, Creator given, RIGHTS to be freely given to government. He admonished the people in this manner:

“The freedom and happiness of man… [are] the sole objects of all legitimate government.”

When government is taking our rights and no longer the protector of those rights, we are heading to tyranny. Each and every American citizen should once again, step back and examine where our demands for health care are coming from and their potential to remove the very RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY, and HAPPINESS that our Creator gave to us to use as we may deem appropriate. Therefore, we can ONLY conclude, based on the writings of Jefferson, that our RIGHT to health care is one founded in the RIGHT to life. With that RIGHT, comes responsibility of the one who receives the RIGHT TO LIFE, and not governments responsibility to dispense it as they determine what is in YOUR best interest. It is governments ONLY SOLE OBJECT to preserve that right to make choices as we, individually, see fit. To think otherwise, is to give your very right to life to someone else to determine what course it will take. That, my friend, is the foundation of Socialism/Communism and the tyranny those governments offer to the citizens. Oh, and you don’t have to worry about your health care either. It is also rationed and given based on what someone else determines what your needs are and not determined by the individual needing medical care.

One only needs to look to any “socialized medicine” program to understand that rationing, pre-determination of need, and long waits and often sub-standard medical care is the norm and not the exception. In these nations, there is no longer a RIGHT to life. These people gave that away when they bought into the belief that government would “do the right thing” in solving a problem. Instead, they are strapped with a system that isn’t working, medical care that is not readily available when desired, and a reduction in level of care almost on a daily basis. Those are direct results of turning over your RIGHTS to government by making what is your responsibility, governments role in your life.

I leave you with one other quote from Jefferson. One that sums it up best when we are even remotely thinking about giving government more and more of our “rights” that was given by God. His belief that a free nation of free men was vital to the preservation of this nation. So much so he wrote this short comment:

“I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.”

Think people. Liberty is a great thing we experience. Let your arguement run along the lines of too much rather than too little. Once you give government your rights, you will only be able to recapture them in the same manner as they were recaptured beginning in 1776. Many a man spilled his blood in pursuit of that dream of God Given Rights. Many more died perserving them for generations to come.

Do you love liberty and life more than you love the prospects of government running your life? Then take the next step and sign the Petition for Redress of Grievances. You can do something to tell Congress that you want more liberty and not less, that you are no longer willing to accept the continual encroachement of YOUR rights, and that real change is coming to this nation if they choose to not listen. Stop the assault on our freedoms because that is a right we all need to exercise.
