Our founders knew one thing for certain- tyranny and despotism were alive and well in 1776. Their goal was to be independent from taxation beyond peoples means, individual rights to prosper at will, and a nation who’s government was meant to protect these freedoms and not restrict them in any manner.

Let’s give this nation a little test. Based on the goals above, how are we doing as a nation?

I imagine that if our founders saw what was happening in America today, they would not only give us a failing grade, but wonder if the British won the Revolutionary War after all. Every single thing they placed their lives on the line to obtain, we as a nation have freely turned back over to our government to regulate, control, and tax beyond this nations means and ability to pay. It has resulted in massive debt, even more massive debt, and interest added to the debt we have already accumulated.

Yet, many Liberals act as if this level of spending from our government is quite ok and is needed to “get the economy put back on solid ground”. Quite the contrary is true. Our nation needs to educate the people that to continue this path of destruction is going to result in the greatest uprising of American citizens this nation has ever experienced. Once again, it will be Patriots facing the specter of Socialism and the complete and utter raping of wealth by our government.

Liberals have this misguided notion that somehow, those who own businesses must have an unlimited pot of gold waiting for exploitation by our government. From that pot, they are going to tax and tax and tax until that pot runs dry. The Liberals believe that this form of wealth redistribution is capable of sustaining every single project of social re-engineering they have ever imagined. However, when faced with the stark reality of the capacity to earn by our businesses, as government takes more and more, there are fewer and fewer businesses pots of gold to pillage. Factories close, main street America becomes devoid of shops and stores, Malls set empty and under a once bustling expanse of covered acreage sits a decaying and decrepit center of what was once the creator of many fortunes, all now gone.

Liberalism promises much to the everyday person. It brings about ideas like “universal health care”, “social security retirement”, “free college education”, “a cleaner environment”, “no more global warming”, and other misunderstood promises of cruelty. Cruelty you say? Yes, absolute cruelty to every single person who buys into the hype of Liberalism as it is forced upon our EMOTIONAL needs rather than our COMMON SENSE REASONING. “We are doing this for our children”, “we are expanding our educational system”, “we are helping the aged and retired”, “we are saving the planet”. Each of these plays on EMOTION rather than taking a look from where it has lead us to this juncture in American history and where it will definitely lead unless this course is reversed.

Once you hear the promise of “higher wages”, “better jobs”, “health care”, and the endless array of promises from Washington, reality needs to set in. Under President Obama’s budget proposal and also under the massive bailouts of mortgages going bad, we are faced with one single question- “whom is going to pay for all of this?”. That answer too, is within the confines of his budget and it is with massive tax increases to those providing the very jobs President Obama is promising will magically appear. What alternative reality is our President living in?

Business, when faced with higher taxes vs. hiring more employees are going to do all they can to survive first and hope they can make headway to expansion. Facing higher taxation reduces enormously the capital (money) needed to expand and grow. Many are going to finally throw up their hands in disgust, take what ever they have left, and simply close their doors. Many already have and more are doing likewise today. All one has to do is look at the unemployment claims numbers to understand that this economic situation is forcing layoffs, closures, and fewer and fewer even considering venturing out into the entrepreneurial world.

Simply put, unless there are adequate profits within a business, there isn’t going to be a business. There aren’t even going to be enough “rich” left to continue to feed the coffers of this nation. All one needs to do is look around at the numbers of unemployed to understand that competition for fewer and fewer jobs is placing stresses on this nations creators of those very jobs that this Administration is wanting to create. More and more college graduates are discovering that they too, are facing the prospect that they can no longer pursue their field of study. Many high school graduates are discovering that only menial jobs are available and even those are in short supply. Where once stood shops and stores on main street sits the empty shells of peoples dreams and livelihood. Where once stood massive malls where many fortunes were created and earned and mere empty shells of covered acreage of decrepit and deteriorating where the greatest creation of wealth ever occurred.

Liberalism offers a real cruelty that is suffered most by those to whom the greatest promises are made. Socialism destroys the very desire for one to create and venture into the entrepreneurial spirit that creates wealth in this nation. Instead, it destroys wealth and fails to sustain itself as there is less and less wealth needed to finance the promises of government. What we end up with is nothing but an entire nation of equals and all are equally impoverished.

There is a certain amount of selfishness in freedom and liberty. That idea of our founders had been recognized as such in as much as a government was created not to provide for the individuals needs, but rather to protect those freedoms that every man, woman, and child have a right to experience. One needs only look at which party is attempting to take away the rights of the people such as free speech (the Fairness Doctrine), the right to keep and bear arms (multiple gun regulations), and the liberal courts creating legislation from the bench to correct what they perceive as “social injustices”. Our very foundations of this nation are very quickly being taken or freely given away by the people.

Socialism destroys those rights as it must in order to have “equality of the masses” and our rights are either regulated as such that those with more are either excoriated or imprisoned as “political prisoners” who failed to support the general ideals of equity (NOT equality!) for all. To further understand the cruelty of socialism you only need to look at the plight of those nations where revolt, riots, uprisings and protests are occurring daily to understand that governments are unable to sustain the promises made and can no longer provide to the populace the things they have become so dependent on from their government. As long as these people continue to rely on government for their every need and want, the continuation of the cruelty is inevitable. Only freedom and liberty can sustain the masses of the nations, not the promises made by government.

History provides great insight into the future when one realizes that through the ages, nations always have repeated the same outcomes and results when the great experiment into socialism has occurred. At no point in history can one find successes of socialism but rather quite the opposite. The inability to financially sustain the role of government in the great socialist experiment has been achilles heal of the program. Yet, “WE THE PEOPLE” can determine the outcome of our own history by once again embracing the selfishness of Liberty and Freedom to recapture the wealth and support the creativity of this nation. Our experiment into Socialism has created a segment of our population who are slovenly, wanton, and angry little children pretending to be adults.

That is the REAL cruelty of Socialism.

To many Americans, the words Freedom, Liberty, and Individual Responsibility have no meaning. Those words I was ingrained with as a child are the very foundations of this nation and her greatness. Those words have been replaced with ideas that are abjectly opposed to the reasoning and to the meaning of July 4th, 1776.

Our nation has reached the precipice and now we are facing a decision not unlike the decision made on July 4th, 1776. Are we as a people, going to live under the increasing tyranny of Liberalism or are we going to face the reality that to preserve the greatness of this nation that we MUST return the meaning of those words Liberty, Freedom, and Inalienable Rights? Are we are going to have to arise to the point of making our voices heard loudly and distinctly and without question as to meaning?

Apathy is our enemy and is so much so, that many Americans feel that nothing they say or do is going to make much of a difference in what happens in Washington. The powers in charge have set their agendas and to hell with the voices of those in opposition. We have seen an unprecedented proposal to government growth, government regulation, and a bankrupting of our morals and our values. No longer are we being led by a majority of Americans, but by a select few so far out of touch with reality and common sense that none of our voices are being heard. To our elected representatives, it’s more about remaining in power and no longer about the will of their constituents.

We are also seeing an electorate that has been promised much and delivered with more promises. The beliefs of many are that somehow it is governments role to be the provider to all. There is a total disconnect from reality and that being that there are costs involved and someone is going to bear those costs. There are divisions of class in which rich vs. poor, middle class vs. everyone else has this nation no longer offering the opportunity to rise to excellence and start from nothing and become whatever your heart may desire. Instead it has been replaced with a belief that equality of results is the greatest measure of this nation rather than the equal RIGHT for anyone to achieve their inner most goals.

Have we become a nation of believers in entitlements solely based on the fact that we are Americans and deserve far greater than we are willing to sacrifice for? Have we become a nation in which a few with riches will provide the necessities for those who are led to believe that the IDEAS are so noble and worthy that this nation SHOULD provide everything for everyone? Have we reached the point in this nation in which we reward mediocrity and punish achievement?

It appears we have.

It appears we have succeeded in indoctrinating an entire generation that believes that government is the complete and total solution to this nations problems without regard to the price being paid by others. There is a belief that every petty gripe and whim of a few are issues that only government can address and the end result has been a nation in which we are destroying the very fabric and core that this nation was founded upon. We are faced with the very real prospect that AMERICA WILL BE NO MORE.

Our nation will not be able to survive the burden being placed upon us with the Liberal/Socialists in charge. To disbelieve this is the cruelest punishment anyone could give to themselves. There is a far bigger picture of this nation that Liberals/Socialist are not telling you. Instead, they are offering a cruel non-reality that is unsustainable by our people. The promise of an even more expanded promise of health care, college education for all, and  complete cradle to grave entitlements cannot be paid for with the very class envy you have been led to believe is evil and bad for this nation. You, my disillusioned citizen, are only seeing what is in it for you, rather than what is going to happen when this nation can no longer maintain the ability to pay for it all. Our leaders are offering a rosy picture that somehow the “rich” can afford to pay for this in perpetuity. In time, they too, will be in the same boat as everyone else will be- looking for the handout that isn’t going to be there.

Our Constitution has been prostituted beyond belief. No longer is our government protecting our rights, but now taking them one by one as they promise more and more to continue their quest for power and control. Yet, Americans succumb almost daily to the propaganda and the rhetoric without examining the price or cost  that our nation must bear. Instead of embracing the principles of Freedom and Liberty, we are seeing the entitlement mentality leading this nation to her economic destruction. To put it bluntly, Americans have bought into the belief that there is no reason to be productive, educated, or strive for achievement- the government will take care of me.

Yes, the America I knew wept today. Her tears are becoming more frequent and more intense. My greatest fear is that the voice of truth and righteousness will all too soon, no longer be heard. Instead it will be replaced with the wails and cries of agony as there is no longer a voice of freedom within this nation. That too, will be silenced as government tells you to shut up, get used to it, and forget what you think is right. “We will tell you what to think”. This will be the new Amerika.

That is the real cruelty of Liberalism/Socialism. The promises being made are only being fulfilled for those in control. You are only viewed as a vote for re-election and are bought and paid for with more empty promises or rewarded with just enough goodies to keep you coming back for even more. Liberals have learned the lessons of a cocaine addict very well and applied them aptly to voters. Give them just enough to get them addicted and then keep them coming back for their next fix. That is the REAL cruelty of Liberalism. Sooner or later the supply runs out and the promises to get your vote are no longer needed. The nation is either bankrupt and/or another nation ruled by tyrants or dictators.

Yes, the America I knew wept today. But somehow I hold to hope that as it was in 1776, there are just enough of us left who love Liberty and Freedom so much that we are going to band together and fight for our nation and our return to greatness. There has to be more than one like me who understands this so much so that they too, will shout the call to action. The time is now, before we become even further led down that path of pipe dreams and lollipops.

Americans I know are getting livid. Asking “us” to bailout those people who over-bought their homes, took a mortgage they couldn’t afford, and in many cases actually signed paperwork that was an outright lie has reached the point where it is time for only one thing left to protect our Liberty. The time is nearing when Revolution will be at hand.

What is it going to take to wake up America from her slumber? Will reality set in when the Banks are nationalized? or will it happen when one or two of the Auto manufacturers are also nationalized? How about the collapsing steel industry as they are going to be needed to produce for the Obamaspendathon and they too, are nationalized?? Perhaps it will happen when they ban all firearms or perhaps just handguns and destroy your Second Amendment rights?

Today, I actually re-read the Declaration of Independence. I would suggest you take the 20 minutes or so from your schedule and do the same. The events that led up to July 4, 1776 are not just knocking at the door, but already in place once again. We have an out of control government who has no regard for the taxpayers, reward those who pay nothing to the overall support of government, and expect everyone to buy into their spending spree as “good for the nation”.

We have watched government saddle this nation with roughly another 4 TRILLION dollars of debt. The spending out of Washington is unprecedented and those who WE expect to represent everyone has instead determined to punish those who pay and give it to those who refuse to contribute to this nation in any manner. I am sorry, but no matter how you slice it, that is Socialism.

Liberty needs to once again be the rallying cry of this nation. Our liberty and freedom is disappearing in massive chunks with the next rollout of spending in this Democratic controlled Congress. Your children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren will pay for this and in the cruelest manner. The printing of massive dollars is going to lead to massive inflation and what you have today is going to devalue so badly that either you will never be able to retire, you are going to have nothing left to leave those loved ones when you leave this world.

JB Williams spelled out very distictively, in a piece on the “Right Side News”, the goals of the Obama Dictatorship:

• Grab grasp and control of all primary economic sectors – banking, health, energy, technology, transportation, communication and food (all of which is addressed in his so-called stimulus bill being signed into law today)
• Erase US borders – provide amnesty for all illegal aliens living in the US and their families not yet here. Concede sovereign authority over US constitutional law to the UN. (This too is set up in the leftist stimulus bill)
• Silence the last remaining voice of pro-freedom dissent currently heard only at talk radio (under the Fairness Doctrine proposed by John Podesta at the George Soros organization, American Progress)
• Eliminate Second Amendment rights for American citizens while setting up a one million member civilian army loyal to Obama rather than to the people and their constitution (Early funding for which is provided in the stimulus package as well)
• Continue to bankrupt the free market capitalist system, driving average American families into an economic corner where they will welcome Democratic Socialism in an effort to avoid life in a soup line (Watch as investors continue to flee from the market for safer havens abroad)
• Buy state sovereignty with federal bailout funds, reversing the bottom up system of self-governance affirmed in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution, establishing the federal government as a top down dictatorship

So tell me, based on the past weeks since Obama’s Inauguration, have you seen the proof of the above list? If you can’t you are either blind, stupid, or both. The rhetoric sounds marvelous, but the underlying restructuring of this nation is heading us so far into the gutter of Socialism that we either MUST Revolt or be facing the barrel of a gun with nothing to do but get in line.

Oppression is coming to this nation in multiple forms. Restraining speech, writing, gun control, and removing the ability to work freely and without interference is going to be forthcoming with the goal to turn this nation into a Socialist State. Unless we DO unite and use our voices of opposition, this nation is facing not an unknown, but the outcome is found in history of any socialism experiment that ever happened.

In Mr. Williams article he make one ourstanding point:

When all other efforts fail, only your guns will stand between you and those who hope to enslave every taxpayer in this nation.

Trust me, you are being enslaved every second we allow this Socialist Administration and Congress to continue their takeover of this nation. It may very well be time for the PEOPLE of this nation to make a trip to Washington to be heard and not only voice opposition, but perhaps to retake this nation and return to the Constitutional nation we once had which the INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM AND LIBERTY actually meant something.

As for me, my voice is expressed here and my feelings are not parsed. Revolution is needed and the recapturing of the America that I love and would gladly give my very last breath to pass to my loved ones, is more than needed, but is inevitable if we want to see this nation survive and prosper again.

John Adams perhaps said it best with few words:

“I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy.”

It only took a handful of men with an understanding of Freedom and Liberty to form this nation into the bastion of hope and opportunity for all who lived here. Their belief that government served only to protect the rights of it’s citizens was the cornerstone of our Constitution. It was not their intent to tax the citizens who have the earning capacity so that those who refuse to earn can realize a piece of the pie as well. It was a nation founded under Revolution and may have reached the boiling point where the repression by our Government will force a  real change with another handful of Americans who are simply tired of the paying and paying as the foundation of our country is eroded into Socialism.

You can put me in that category. The time is near when Americans as myself should stand with determination and resolve. To do less means I am only the “sheeple” that offers little and expects great rewards from those who do give. In 1776, those were called British Loyalists. The majority left this nations shores. Maybe that is what we need to do with our reigning Socialists today- find them a nice Socialist nation to move to!
