Obama Spurning Troops Shows Lack of Character

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Obama may have needed a workout in Germany, but our brave men and women saw Obama’s true character.

It seems that the photo ops, the scripted speeches, and lack of apathy for our brave military has many outraged at the entire Obama camp- mainly military men and women. Character as a leader isn’t granted by position, but earned. Spurning our military is a defining moment that tells all Americans where this man is really coming from. His obvious arrogance toward those who are serving in uniform has even exceeded that shown by Hillary Clinton during that administration. To show so blatant a disdain for anything “military” shows not only a lack of character, but a total lack of understanding of the very founding precepts that this nation has experienced all throughout our nations history.

America is not one to take war or military conflict lightly. Even in spite of the criticism of the Iraq war from the Left, this conflict has, in reality, made this world a far safer place to live. No one can argue that there is a real threat from Islamic radical terrorists. Unlike negotiations with a “nation”, there is no one whom we can establish a means of peace from within the terrorists network. Their only desire is kill those who they consider “infidels”, including those in Europe, the United States, and any other free nation who believes in a freedom of religion. Remarkably, the Liberals who are most critical of this administration are the ones who fail to understand that religious freedom is a God given right and only kept that way by defending this nation from those who would choose to destroy us in order to have their religious beliefs instituted as THIS nations beliefs. Pelosi: You Ain’t Gonna Drill No More No More

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Speaker Pelosi is refusing to allow any debate on any legislation for new drilling for our nations oil. Her refusal most likely is due to Republicans being able to point to those who voted against it and find election/re-election in question. Let the “gas pump” campaign begin, as this strategy will backfire in November.

Is Pelosi Afraid of a Vote on Drilling?

Is Pelosi Afraid of a Vote on Drilling?

Speaker Pelosi has made it very clear that there will be no debate, no vote and no discussion of any attempt to bring the offshore drilling legislation to the floor. It seems that Her Majesty has more in mind to do the same she has always done- break the promises made when she was appointed as House Speaker. She “had a plan” to reduce gas prices and as of this writing, we as Americans are still waiting for that plan to materialize. The only thing she has done is ask President Bush to consider reducing the Strategic Petroleum Reserves and reduce prices with additional supply from those reserves.

Would SOMEONE please hand her an Economics 101 text book! It is obvious that she has little understanding of supply and demand and the effects it has on prices of ANY goods or services offered. When supplies are increased, and demand stays equal, prices fall. That is something any first year economics student can tell you right off the top of their head, yet, the Liberal Left in Congress refused to believe that is possible.

Did  you every wonder why there is such opposition to debate? I don’t have all the answers as I am not a mind reader, but I can assure you of one thing; it is all about retaining and increasing power in Washington by the Democrat Left. Should debate be allowed, votes be cast and the predictable outcome be on the record, there is no question that Democrats are poised to lose in the greatest landslide victory for Republicans- perhaps ever.

Yet, when asked the direct question “why not drill?”, the answer out of her mouth is incredulous: (more…)

America at War: Liberals Choose to Lose

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

This nation is at War. It’s a war for our very survival and it revolves around our dependence on foreign oil. Liberals could care less if we lose. They are more concerned about power than prosperity.

Senator Mitch McConnell (R. Ken.) said it best the other day:

“When will the Democrat Leadership listen to the 77 percent of Americans who want us to use our own domestic resources to drive down the price of gas and say ‘Yes, we can.’ When will they listen to more than a dozen of their own members and say ‘Yes, we can.’”

This is the war we are going to be fighting in the House and Senate for the next few months. Sadly, the Liberal Left is totally opposed to the idea that the United States could possibly put forth an effort to win this war and do it in true American fashion. The very fiber of this nation lies in the fact that we have readily available energy and in the past, has been relatively inexpensive. This allowed this nation to grow incredibly strong and economically prosperous. It meant jobs, it meant the ability to enjoy the fruits of one’s labor, and for each generation preceding the next to enjoy an even greater way of life and much sooner than our elders ever dreamed of.
